Dr. Cronin joined The Eye Care Group in 2009. In addition to her comprehensive ophthalmology practice, she is a fellowship-trained pediatric eye care and adult strabismus specialist. She grew up in Madison, Connecticut and graduated from Yale University in 2000. She completed medical school and ophthalmology residency training at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult motility disorders at The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Cronin is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians. She dedicates her time teaching Yale Ophthalmology residents as a Clinical Instructor. As an investigator with the NIH-sponsored Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group, she is involved with trials that study the treatment of common childhood eye conditions. She also has a special interest in nystagmus and has published her research in the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. Cronin brings a warm bedside manner to her surgical practice. She enjoys spending time with her husband in a variety of outdoor activities, including running, hiking, tennis, and kayaking.
